I've got a new home!
From the previous chapter of my story...
Anyone for a big chunk of gorgeousness? ❤️
Everyone meet Lion 🦁
He’s weighing in at a whopping 6.5 kg but some of that is pure fluffiness! The vets have averaged him between 4/6 years old.
He was found straying in a garden, now he’s a really cleaver boy as he picked the right garden to be in, let me tell you. The wonderful Tina’s . Tina is our foster for bravery training so he was in safe hands.
Here is what Tina has said about Lion.
I first met Lion a few months ago when I saw him coming into my garden. Lion would run away or hiss at me when I approached him, he was skinny, dirty and I could see clearly that he did not have a home.
I slowly gained his trust and he started to eat the food I would put down for him. I made real progress with Lion in June and he would come to the patio doors to meet me and to demand his breakfast 😂 the cheeky chap is very food oriented.
He surprisingly let me stroke him when he was eating, once we got to this point Lion was a regular for breakfast and most evenings for dinner.
Lion is a big boy weighing 6.5kg he is healthy and his coat is so soft and shiny now.
Before Lion came indoors we would often spend a few hours either playing with toys or just sitting next to me having lots of stokes and watching the world and how wonderful the flowers and wildlife are, we loved watching the two bats flying around at dusk.
Lion is the sweetest loving boy who loves human companionship, he will sit next to me on the floor or lay by my feet if I am sitting on the sofa.
What I haven’t managed to do yet is to get lion to use a cat bed or to sit on the sofa, even when I pick him up he just jumps off, I do feel he wants to but I think he doesn’t want to succumb to soft luxuries in case he has to fend for himself which is heartbreaking.
Lion can still give you little paw bats or soft love bites when he gets overexcited however just gently telling him no often stops this quickly.
Lion is now safe, warm and very happy. I do think once he has his forever home he will end up being a lap cat and more than likely follow you around and rest very close by to his new family.
Oh and he is vocal when you talk to him and if you don’t acknowledge him he will give you a gentle bat 😂
You can see most of my journey with lion on my TikTok page which is Tina’s Feline Fostering https://www.tiktok.com/@tinasfelinefostering?_t=ZN-8zLAjPJKsy6&_r=
Lovely Lion has been neutered, microchipped, flea, wormed, healthy checks certificate ( no underlying issues) tested for FeLV/FIV and is negative. He’s had his first vaccination and will go back for his second so he’s all set for his new adventure.
We don’t know how he is with other cats, or dogs but with nice slow introductions we don’t see this as an issue. We feel either an adult only home or calm older children only 12+ would be best.
Could you be the one to give this big chunk of loveliness a brand new start at a fantastic life? He didn’t ask to be abandoned and is really hoping someone can give him a second chance!
If your that special someone please go to www.catituderescue.com and fill out the application form. One of the team will be in touch ASAP.
Lion is looking forward meeting you!
