Like his friend, Maverick, Iceman came to us in a large group of tragically mistreated cats, but his resilience has amazed us all. Like the Val Kilmer character he was named after, Ice is a cool cat – the leader of the little crew of kittens we found him with who all seem to look up to him for guidance and follow his lead. He’s clearly a kitten destined for a distinguished future!
Ice is a beautiful boy with a short, smooth coat of white and black fur and pink ears who you will want to pet for hours. Despite his name, there’s nothing cold about his character; he’s very sociable with humans and other cats alike and, although he’s not too much of a fan of being held close yet, he keeps his cool and will let us pick him up. Ice is a typical kitten – he’s curious, playful and into everything so will bring energy, chaos and fun to whichever family adopts him. He can hold his own with other cats so will be happy in a home that already has a pet.
Because Ice is so friendly and confident, he would be a great addition to almost any family as long as they can offer him the care, love and attention deserves. With kittens born recently at a shelter, in foster, or who are very young, we can tell their age within a few weeks, as they develop so rapidly. Sometimes we get adult cats whose previous owners know their age and that's great...but it's not the norm.
99% of the time, we have zero information about a cat, and their age can only be a "Best Guess" based on their condition, overall appearance, and the state of their teeth. We completely understand that you want this information, and since you will need a date of birth for insurance, so we will do our best. But it is generally only going to be an educated guess from our vets.
