My story (so far...)

You’ve seen the film; you’ve sung along to the soundtrack; you’ve bought the aviator glasses and bomber jacket. Now is your chance to share your home with Maverick!

Mav came to us recently having had a really tough start to his young life. He was found in appalling conditions with lots of other kittens. However, just like his namesake when he arrived at Fighter Weapons School, he is now ready to fly and find his happy ending with a family like yours (unless Kelly McGillis turns up…)

In the cat world, Mav would give Tom Cruise a run for his money: he’s a handsome boy with a short, smooth, sleek, black coat with white paws, nose and chest. At the moment, he’s still quite shy, especially amongst all of the other kittens, but he started to come out of his shell when he was able to spend some time with his wingman, Ice so we think he would be happy to share his new home with just one other pet. Unlike his namesake, Mav is no rebel and, at the moment, is still a little shy but he’s starting to play more and is becoming more used to being handled and petted. We’re seeing a very sweet and mellow side of his character developing and know that, once he finds his feet, Mav will show the loyalty and adventurous spirit of his namesake.

Mav needs to find a calm, quiet home with older children where he can start to build the confidence to bring out his playful side. With love, patience and care, in no time he’ll be zooming around your home as if he’s riding a Kawasaki or an F-14A Tomcat like Tom Cruise, taking your breath away with the antics we expect and love in kittens.

If you can offer Mav a Top Gun life in safe, loving home, don’t hang about – we feel the need…the need for speed!

*Please click to read about the stated age of our cats.

Cards on the table.

With kittens born recently at a shelter, in foster, or who are very young, we can tell their age within a few weeks, as they develop so rapidly. Sometimes we get adult cats whose previous owners know their age and that's great...but it's not the norm.

99% of the time, we have zero information about a cat, and their age can only be a "Best Guess" based on their condition, overall appearance, and the state of their teeth. We completely understand that you want this information, and since you will need a date of birth for insurance, so we will do our best. But it is generally only going to be an educated guess from our vets.

Could you be my forever human?

Thank you so much for reading my profile.

If you think you might be able to offer me my forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Catitude Rescue team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Lots of love and warm cuddles,

Maverick 'Mav'
